STEPHANIE//ANTHONY [MARRIED]

Where to begin with these two...I don't know when I fell in love with Stephanie. It was either at the bridal show when her silliness and zeal for life made me smile long after she was gone, OR, it was at Torchy's where we got chips, queso, and beer before their engagement session. Wither way, the love that these to have for one another and the love that they have for each others kids is one of the most beautiful things we have gotten to be a part of. Their day was so much fun! COLD, but fun.

The girls got ready at the Overton and then everyone rode a trolley to the the church. The ceremony was so sweet! In the middle, they had a moment where Anthony turned to Stephanie's kids and made promises to them and thanked them for sharing their mommy with him. Stephanie did the same for each of Anthony's two girls. I loved that they celebrated the joining of their families and gave the kids a part in that moment, too!

Their reception was at the Silent Wings Museum! It was so awesome! Stephanie was born in England (and raised their for a portion of her life) and I loved getting glimpses of that flag throughout the night, as well as the American flag (her mom, who made the amazing cakes, just earned her citizenship!) And of course, the plane picture. I have to give my man all the credit on this one, he lit the whole thing and it looks perfect! (I think I'll keep him around...)

MACKENZIE // HEATH [MARRIED]

Mackenzie and Heath's story starts way back when they were in a wedding together when they were young children. Through all the trials of being high school sweethearts, and just life in general, they made it to this sweet and beautiful day that joins them together forever. We had so much fun documenting their sweet, cold day this January and we were so thankful to work with them and their families as well as some of our favorite vendors! Including; Southern Elegance, who did the food, cake, decor and flowers! Cre8tive studios who did the DJ services and videography! such a great team and group of people to spend the day with!

JANUARY LUBBOCK WEDDING SNEAK PEAKS

January is already over. Man, that went fast. We shot our first two weddings of the year — one in Plainview, one in Lubbock — on consecutive weekends, and then went to the Lubbock Bridal Show where we were fortunate enough to meet some lovely, lovely people.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY // RYAN

I truly don't know how I got so lucky. When I take a step back from the ins and outs of everyday life and look at what I have, more importantly who I have, I am in awe. I'm kind of weird about birthday's. I love celebrating life. Especially Ryan's. This is the ninth time I get to celebrate with him, and I'm so surprised at how things have changed and how little I've known the last eight years. So, I thought today, on his birthday, it would be appropriate to admit the things I didn't know when I married him...

My Ry,

There were a lot of things that I knew about you when we got married. I kew you were talented, handsome, loving, hard working and fun. I knew you left your water bottles out when you finished them and refused to throw them away. I knew you had expensive taste. I knew you took forever to decide on what to buy.

But what I didn't know is how you would become my very best friend. I didn't expect that you would be my business partner, editor and photoshop expert. As a strong independent woman (or at least I like to think of myself that way), I didn't expect that you'd be the half that makes me whole. I didn't think that I could love you anymore than I did the day I married you. I didn't account for how annoyed I would be with you one second, but how much you could make me laugh the next. I didn't think that we would change so much, but I love that we've changed together. I really didn't think that my favorite time in the world would be binge watching TV in your arms. I didn't know that we would develop a love for film (I love crying with you when we are in awe of cinematography in films). I didn't know how much you would teach me about the beauty that is yet to be discovered in the world.

Point being, I love learning about the world and figuring it out with you. My life is better because you're in it. Thank you for being you and for teaching me more about life and love than I ever could have learned on my own. Happy Birthday, my love. Here's to another year of learning more about life, love and each other.

xoxo

MACKENZIE // BRIDAL PORTRAITS

Now that sweet Mackenzie has tied the knot I can finally share her beautiful bridal portraits! (Just so you know - holding on to beautiful portraits that you can't share is torture.)

This girl was such a trooper! It was ffff---rrrrr---eeeee---zzzzzz-ing when we took her bridal portraits! I was bundled up in a scarf and gloves while encouraging her that it wasn't that cold and that she looked stunning. While I may have underestimated how cold it actually was, she really was stunning!

PS - A big thanks to our friends Aric and Casey who were super sweet and let us use their studio for a bit to get her out of the cold. Ya'll are the best!
